I tend to stay away from politics but I couldn’t help but notice the attention Paul Ryan was getting for doing P90X. It’s incredible how obesity levels have risen in recent years, and that extends all the way to our politicians. One thing people neglect to realize is that your health and fitness affects the way you think AND the way your brain operates. Wouldn’t you want a politician firing on all cylinders?
Paul Ryan P90X workout pictures and video have popped up all over the internet, youtube, and television once America learned that Paul Ryan is all about eating healthy and maintaining a regular exercise routine. While I choose not to follow political issues too closely, I have to respect the man for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Apparently his weight is floating around 162lbs and his body fat is between 6-8%! That’s incredible! It just goes to show that even as a busy politician there’s no excuse not to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Not only does Paul Ryan rely on P90X for maintaining his own healthy lifestyle, he even coaches a dozen or so members from congress in his own Paul Ryan P90X classes!
When traveling Paul Ryan can be spotted doing P90X from his iPad in the hotel’s gyms! Now there’s a man who takes his health serious! He looks amazing! It almost seems ODD to see a politician looking this healthy!
Tony Horton has said that he has seen a mild bump in P90X interest because of the attention Paul Ryan has brought to it. Isn’t it incredible what inspiration and impact a Wisconsin congressmen can bring to people, leading by example? Can you imagine if 90-100% of all politicians exercised on a regular basis? Or if exercise was more widely promoted on television?
Although the Paul Ryan P90X lifestyle is truly inspiring to some, it is an example of how YOU too can lead by example. When getting started on your own fitness journey keep in mind that you’re not only changing your own life, but you are potentially changing many others lives as well. When I first started P90X and began my own fitness journey it was all about me, but now as you can see, I’m all about helping others achieve a healthier lifestyle.
I have not even a fraction of the popularity that Paul Ryan has, but none the less I’m doing what I can to help end the trend of obesity. That not only keeps me 100% accountable but gives an indescribable sense of self fulfillment knowing I’m doing good in others lives.
If you’ve considered changing your own lifestyle, keep that in mind. It’s not all about YOU. Consider the impact you’ll have on your children, your friends, your siblings & family etc.
Even Paul Ryan’s critics like Washington Post reporter Dana Milbank acknowledges that the Congressman’s personal health priorities are in the right place:
“It can only do us good as a nation to have as a role model such a fine physical specimen in high office. Hopefully, Ryan will inspire more Americans to get healthy. That’s important, because if Ryan succeeds in ending Medicare, they won’t be able to afford getting sick.”
